STEPHEN FONCHAM, MBA FOUNDER/PRESIDENT/CEO

Mr. Stephen Foncham has more than 20 years in the human services industry. He has strong and progressive experience in business development, program management and program operation. This experience was gained through his ownership and operation of an Avis-Rent-A-Car agency, Shell and Citgo gas stations. However, his passion for underserved people in around his community remained. In 2009, Stephen was a consultant for the Center for Enrichment and Development, LLC. There, he became involved in mentoring and advocating to improve the quality of life for adults with disabilities and Veterans in the Metro area. He quickly realized that he wanted to further serve this disadvantaged population. To achieve this goal, in 2010 he founded Kirstin’s Haven Incorporated (KHI); a non-profit 501(c) (3). It was established to provide comprehensive supportive services and transitional/permanent housing to homeless families and veterans in Prince Georges County. Kirstin’s Haven mission is to provide the homeless with the tools and services they need to achieve and sustain self-sufficiency and independent living. To provide comprehensive supportive services and transitional/permanent housing to homeless families and veterans in Prince Georges County. Kirstin Care, LLC was founded in 2013 which combines 6 outpatient programs that cover therapeutic (OMHC), case management (PRP), medication management, nursing (Health Home), employment (Supported Employment), and substance abuse services (IOP/OP).

Mr. Foncham is a member of the Baltimore Area Association for Supportive Housing (BASH), Prince George’s County Homeless Service Partnership (HSP) and the Southern Maryland Tri-County Homeless Board. He sits on the Veteran’s committee of the HSP and plays an important role in helping to shape services for homeless veterans in the county. He has received accolades for his assertive and persistent work in his community. Mr. Foncham earned his master’s degree in business administration from California Baptist University Jabs School of Business, and his bachelor’s degree from University of California San Diego.
